Friends of 632-3003 Group

The aim of the Friends of 632 3003 Group is to provide a local, community group within the Hoylake / Meols area who will support the securing of the telephone box, to then develop and manage the box as a cultural local landmark. 

The telephone box, which was, until recently, situated in Greenwood Road, Meols, was the inspiration for an Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (‘OMD’) song entitled, ‘Red Frame White Light’; the song includes the telephone number ‘632 3003’, and is an important part of the band’s history.  Local fans and fans from far and wide visit the phone box as part of their interest in the band and many have been known to travel to the Wirral to undertake a pilgrimage to OMD. 

This page is to showcase and hopefully sell some goodies to help support and maintain the box.
